Food Supply Manipulation: Part 1 – How Big Agriculture Took Control
π Food Supply Manipulation: Part 1 – How Big Agriculture Took Control
By Crazy Rick, Truth Seeker at Crazy Rick’s Blog
I’m Crazy Rick, and I believe in looking past the official stories.
The deeper you dig, the more you realize: our food supply isn’t about feeding us — it’s about controlling us.
This is Part 1 of a deep dive into how a few powerful corporations and hidden interests have quietly taken over what we eat, how it's grown, and even what choices we have left.
πΎ The Rise of Big Agriculture: It’s Not About Farming Anymore
For thousands of years, food was local, fresh, and mostly free from chemical tampering. But everything changed during the 20th century with the rise of industrial agriculture — and especially after World War II.
Today, just four companies control 60% of the global seed market: Bayer (which bought Monsanto), Corteva, ChemChina, and Limagrain.

These companies patent genetically modified seeds, making farmers dependent year after year. They can’t legally save their seeds. They must buy new seeds every season—at inflated prices—while using the company's required chemical products to grow them.
𧬠Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs): Food Designed for Profit, Not Health
GMOs were marketed as a way to "feed the world" and reduce pesticide use. But reality paints a different picture:
-
GMO crops are mainly designed to tolerate heavy chemical spraying (like glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup).
-
Studies have shown that glyphosate residues are found in a wide range of foods, even in cereals and bread marketed to children.

Glyphosate has been classified as a “probable human carcinogen” by the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC).

If feeding people was really the goal, why would the food we eat daily be laced with chemicals linked to cancer?
π Controlling the Global Seed Supply
When companies like Monsanto (now Bayer) patent life itself—seeds—they aren’t just selling products. They’re creating dependency.
-
Farmers must buy "licensed" seeds.
-
Saving seeds—something farmers have done for thousands of years—is now illegal with GMO crops.
-
If a farmer’s field is accidentally contaminated with GMO pollen, they can be sued for patent infringement.

This isn’t about innovation. It’s about ownership. They want to own the food at its source.
π° Food As a Commodity, Not a Human Right
Once the seed supply was locked down, food became just another commodity traded on Wall Street. Hunger, shortages, and price spikes? These are not accidents—they’re often profitable events for the giants controlling the market.
Just four corporations—ADM, Bunge, Cargill, and Louis Dreyfus—dominate global grain trading.

When a handful of companies control seeds, crops, and global distribution, they control who eats, and who doesn't.
π§ Final Thought for Part 1
They tell us this system is about "feeding the world."
But when you follow the money and the patents, it’s clear:
It’s about controlling food, controlling farmers, and ultimately controlling us.
In Part 2, I’ll dive even deeper into how chemical companies, government policies, and corporate lobbyists have built this system—and how it affects you every time you sit down to eat.
Stay skeptical. Stay awake. Stay dangerous.
